Over recent days all four countries of the UK have announced further restrictions to contain the spread of Covid-19. This includes the introduction of tier 4 restrictions in London and parts of the south-east and east of England.

We recognise that this will be difficult and worrying news for many people. We want to reassure you about the steps we’re taking to manage our work and keep people safe.

Fitness to practise case work and hearings

We will continue with our fitness to practise case work and the majority of our fitness to practise hearings will continue to take place virtually.

We have no physical, in-person hearings due to take place until 4 January. Ahead of any future physical, in-person hearings, we will carry out further, additional risk assessments. If there are any changes to scheduled hearings we will contact those involved directly.

Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)

Our OSCE centres will remain open in line with government guidelines and our colleagues working at the centres will wear an enhanced level of PPE.

We will continue to keep our website updated as we respond to any future developments.
