NMC seeks new Council and committee members
We are seeking a registered nurse, midwife or nursing associate to join our Council as a non-executive member from April 2025. We are also looking for three lay people to join our Council’s Committees.
Council member
On 10 September we advertised for a registered nurse, midwife or nursing associate to join our Council as a non-executive member from April 2025. We later announced that we’ll shortly launch a process to appoint our next Chair of Council. Sir David Warren will end his term at the point that a successor is ready to take up the post.
This means that we need to pause our recruitment for a new registrant Council member. This is because it’s important that the Chair role is open to both lay people and NMC-registered professionals; and that Council also maintains an overall balance of six lay and six registrant members as required by legislation.
