We will accept an OET examination certificate that confirms you have achieved:
- At least grade B (350 or above) for reading, listening, and speaking
- At least grade C+ (300 or above) for writing
We accept the OET on Paper, OET on Computer, and OET@Home test. All applicants should choose the Nursing examination from the list of OET Professions versions.
If you are combining tests, we can accept OET@Home combined with OET on Paper or OET on Computer. These tests include the same tasks, difficulty, format, and timings, and will be marked according to the same assessment criteria.
Combining OET test scores
You can combine scores across two OET test sittings, providing that between the two test settings you achieve:
- One reading score of at least Grade B (350-440)
- One listening score of at least Grade B (350-440)
- One speaking score of at least Grade B (350-440)
- One writing score of at least Grade C+ (300-340)
All of your test scores across both sittings must be equal to or higher than the minimum scores:
- Grade C+ (300-340) for listening
- Grade C+ (300-340) for reading
- Grade C+ (300-340) for speaking
- Grade C (250-290) for writing

This combination would be accepted because:
- The applicant has achieved a score of at least grade B in listening, speaking and reading and a score of at least grade C+ (300-340) in writing, across the two test sittings
- In both tests, all of their scores are equal to or higher than grade C+ (300-340) in listening, reading and speaking, and equal to or higher than grade C (250-290) in writing.

This combination would not be accepted because:
- The applicant has a listening score lower than grade C+ (300-340) (the required minimum score in this domain) in one of their test sittings. They have also not achieved the required pass score of B (350-440) in listening.

Providing evidence of your OET test
If you’re using an OET test, you’ll need to provide your OET certificate and candidate number, which we’ll use to verify your results.
You’ll need to provide both certificates if you’re using two OET tests, and we’ll be able to verify these using your candidate number.
It’s important you have given permission for us to verify your OET results before you submit your application through your MyOET account, otherwise this may delay your application. If you are submitting two tests, you'll need to give us permission to verify both tests.
