Interpreting your test calculator results – examples

Check your results against the examples below to see if you’ve met our requirements for test combining.


Example 1 – Unsuccessful test combining 

If you have any red scores, like the example below, you cannot use any of your scores from that test. You will need to take another test.

Example 2 – Successful test combining 

If you have at least one green score in each language skill and all your other scores are yellow, like the example below – congratulations! You should be able to combine your tests and use this as your English language evidence.

Example 3 – Potential eligibility for SIFE 

If you are missing a green score in one language skill only, meaning that you have two yellow scores in one skill like the example below, you may be able to use supporting information from your employer (SIFE).  
You will need to meet certain requirements to be able to use SIFE, so make sure you check our SIFE criteria carefully

Example 4 – Unsuccessful test combining 

If you are missing a green score in more than one language skill, like the example below, you will need to take another test.
