We understand that people that have been forcibly displaced may find it difficult to give us the information that we need in the usual way.
If you are a forcibly displaced person, we strongly advise that you contact our international registration team before starting your online application.
They can explain more about the support available. If needed, they can work with you to develop a portfolio of alternative evidence or contact third-party organisations on your behalf.
We will then review the information you provide to decide whether it meets our eligibility requirements and whether you can progress onto the next stage of the registration process.
What alternative evidence do I need to provide?
If you can’t provide us with the usual information we ask for, we may consider alternative evidence. Any alternative evidence submitted must demonstrate that you are eligible to practice and that you meet our registration requirements for safe, kind and effective practice.
The list below some show some examples of alternative evidence you could provide us with to support your application.
We’ll look at every application individually and make our decisions on a case-by-case basis. This means that you do not need to provide us with each of the items listed in each section. However, we recommend that you provide us with as much evidence as you possibly can to help us make a fair assessment of your eligibility.
Our registration application case studies also provide some practical examples of how to approach the application process.
