Our animation entitled 'What makes you a registered professional' covers how our Code and standards work together to support professionals throughout their nursing or midwifery careers.
It includes how the standards shape excellent pre-registration education for each profession by setting individual programme outcomes for education providers and practice learning partners; and also for effective support, supervision and assessment.
It also covers how the Code and the proficiency standards are important for professionals once they join our register, particularly the importance of using these as part of CPD and revalidation. Finally it covers how our post-registration standards enable people to develop their careers in specialist roles.
