Regulation of nursing associates in England consultation

The Department of Health held a public consultation to seek views on changing our legislation to enable us to regulate nursing associates.

This consultation ran from 12 October to 26 December 2017.

As a result of the consultation, amendments were made to our legal framework, the Nursing and Midwifery Order, to provide us with the necessary legal powers to regulate the nursing associate profession in England.
